Master of Arts in Evaluation

This program is designed to provide those interested with the opportunity to gain additional qualifications for scientific or professional work in this research and professional field, which offers excellent career development opportunities as part of a Master'sdegree. The course is structured to be studied part-time. The practical course prepares you both for the scientific processing of evaluation questions and for expert and advisory work in the field of evaluation. It also provides core competencies that prepare you for tasks related to quality management and organizational development within the organization, opening up a wide range of career paths. The continuing education course is aimed at professionals with at least one year of relevant work experience. This professional experience does not need to be related to the field of evaluation.

Master (Blended Learning) of Evaluation (MABLE)

The M.A. degree programme 'Master (Blended Learning) of Evaluation' is unique in Europe and only a few universities in the world offer a comparable study programme. The programme teaches students the knowledge and skills needed to undertake professional evaluation work in the fields of policy-making, administration and social services. The M.A. programme is a cooperative programme run jointly with the Distance and Independent Studies Center at University of Kaiserslautern-Landau.

The programme builds on the theories and research methodologies that underpin national and international evaluation practices. Students are taught how to design and implement evaluations in an international context. They also conduct a case study, which helps to sharpen their practical skills and insights.

Students on the programme learn the academic methodologies required to address questions and problems relating to evaluation, while also acquiring the skills needed to work as expert consultants in the field and to understand contract award and procurement processes and to manage evaluation projects. The M.A. programme 'Master (Blended Learning) of Evaluation' teaches students the core competencies required in monitoring, quality management, organizational development and project and programme management and opens up a broad variety of interesting career opportunities. Graduates work as evaluators, evaluation managers, quality assurance managers, monitoring officers and as project and programme managers.
