The Certificate in Evaluation Practice (CEP) offers participants a breadth of understanding of the knowledge and skills that are frequently needed for evaluations. The CEP is intended for evaluators who are seeking a course of study that exposes them to the fundamentals of evaluation practice.

The Certificate in Advanced Evaluation Practices (CAEP) allows experienced evaluators to deepen their evaluation understanding, and to improve their ability to produce high-quality evaluations. Completion of the first-level Certificate in Evaluation Practice (CEP) is a prerequisite for beginning the CAEP. The CAEP instruction is designed to increase participants’ depth of understanding of various evaluation approaches and theories. These approaches can help participants design and implement tailored evaluations that are more responsive to each context and its stakeholders.

One of CGU’s most popular, the program trains future leaders, change agents, scholars, and educators to use psychological and organizational theory and research to improve organizational effectiveness and the work life of all individuals. You’ll integrate this knowledge with a background in evaluation and applied research methods to better understand and assess organizational health, all within one of the preeminent evaluation programs in the country.

In this program you’ll examine the positive developmental trajectories and processes that contribute to positive outcomes at both individual and sociocultural levels, integrating that knowledge with a background in evaluation and applied research methods. Positive Developmental Psychology and Evaluation provides you with knowledge and methods needed for research and to design, implement, and evaluate programs aimed at fostering positive human development throughout the lifespan. Positive psychology is understood as an approach to human functioning that addresses human flourishing and well-being and the factors that contribute to them. At Claremont Graduate University, Positive Development is understood as individual growth through the lifespan.

In this program, you’ll learn to improve organizational effectiveness and individual work life through positive organizational psychology research, integrating that scholarship with a background in evaluation and applied research methods, all within one of the preeminent evaluation programs in the country. The Master of Arts in Public Policy & Evaluation trains you in the technical aspects of outcome evaluation to provide a focused understanding of what makes public policy effective. This is a joint program offered by the Division of Politics & Economics and the Division of Behavioral & Organizational Sciences that combines two highly complementary domains—public policy and evaluation—which are often taught and learned separately. The program places strong emphasis on the politics of outcome evaluation; you’ll develop an understanding of stakeholder and constituent roles in evaluation, empowerment aspects, and the ethical requirements of a policy analyst and evaluator.

The program trains individuals to design and implement impactful evaluations in various settings, providing expert training in a preeminent evaluation program. Participants engage in leading research with highly regarded faculty-scholars and graduate ready for top leadership positions in evaluation and applied science globally.

The program prepares students for the analytically demanding roles of the field by exposing you to the practical application of program monitoring and evaluation. Students will gain experience and perspective as an intern, by consulting with companies, or joining research/practice professional projects that connect directly with organizations and issues that you’re passionate about.
