The program prepares specialists for work in school districts, government agencies, commercial test development companies, and research and evaluation enterprises. The Ed.S. degree is designed to provide professional educators with an opportunity to develop competencies in areas of special needs and interests. Consequently, the major has few required courses, and each student’s program of study is individually planned in consultation with a graduate faculty committee.

The program is designed to prepare individuals working in the testing and evaluation field for employment in school districts, government agencies, commercial test development companies, and program research and evaluation enterprises. The program prepares students with specialized skills in test development and analysis, data analysis, program evaluation, and qualitative and quantitative research design. Although this program is not an online program, many of the courses are offered in an online format.

This applied program is designed around a core of psychological theories and methods, with three concentration areas: Industrial/Organizational Psychology, Evaluation Research, and Health Promotion and Disease Prevention. The core program, taken by all students, focuses on the development of critical thinking and data driven assessment and decision making. It provides students knowledge, experience, skills and abilities needed to apply the theories and methods of psychology to the identification and solution of a variety of complex individual and organizational problems. Graduates of the program have the applied research and data analysis skills to prepare them for a wide-range of careers in business, education, non-profits and healthcare.

The program is designed for students who wish to gain a wider perspective of how health behaviors impact clinical outcomes. It provides a practical opportunity to cultivate new skills for career engagement and advancement and specialized training for students interested in pursuing careers in a variety of medical and health-related fields.

The program is appropriate for applicants who want to understand or conduct research and program evaluations. It is ideal preparation for careers in educational research, evaluation, testing, or leadership. The program is designed for students who have training and experience in substantive disciplines in either education or non-education fields. Proficiency and excellence will be acquired in scientific inquiry, research methodology, program evaluation, psychometry and construction of psychological and educational tests, and statistical analysis of social and behavioral data, especially using computer technology.

The program will prepare students for staff positions in evaluation, testing, or research in schools and non-school organizations. The program equips graduates with the knowledge and skills for lifelong pursuit of inquiry as a mechanism for improving the human condition. This program develops scholars, evaluators, and leaders who have a comprehensive understanding and ability to integrate and utilize inquiry methods from multiple ontologies/epistemologies/paradigms to address research and evaluative questions directed towards understanding and solving pressing problems and contributing to the knowledge base that informs practice.

This Master'sDegree is a comprehensive program that covers research, evaluation, and measurement in all levels and sectors of education. The curriculum focuses on developing students' knowledge, skills, and expertise in these areas, including secondary data analysis, synthesis of evidence, evaluation of evidence-based practices, and theoretical and methodological issues in research and evaluation. The objective of this program is to produce graduates who can fulfill the need for professionals in the field of educational research and evaluation. These individuals will have the ability to gain insights, make changes in behavior, and become professional and ethical individuals who can positively impact society and the nation.

The program is designed to provide students with a comprehensive education in social policy and program evaluation. The program combines theory with real-world, practical experience and emphasizes the ethical foundations of social policy interventions. The curriculum draws from multiple fields of study, including economics, political science, sociology, psychology, education, law, applied ethics, and public health. Classroom learning is supplemented by opportunities to engage in applied social policy and evaluation research through public policy lab and internship experiences. Upon graduation, students will be equipped to work effectively as leading practitioners, policy makers, analysts, and evaluators in government, private sector, NGOs, and international organizations, and to evaluate policies and programs to improve outcomes and impact.

The program is designed to train students to become experts in evaluating European public policies and programs. Upon completion of the program, graduates will possess the skills and knowledge to write and implement European grant projects, understand the planning and execution of EU-wide development programs, and conduct evaluations of these programs and policies.
