Objective(s): provide technical support for the impact evaluations of selected agriculture and rural development projects/programs.

Scope: The program is delivered in two phases, (1) a workshop followed by (2) a coaching session on conducting impact evaluations. Participants are trained and coached to
- Identify the issues, constraints, and validity criteria of an IE;
- Select the most appropriate IE method for a project or program in agriculture and rural development;
- Be familiar with data collection and analysis, including the use of appropriate software;
- Design and conduct IE of a project/program using RCT method; the DD method; the matching method; the instrumental variables method; and the discontinuity regression method;
- Identify and correct for biases in impact estimation and the conditions under which the different methods are applied;
- Identify effective ways to disseminate the findings of an IE"
