The program aims to provide students with theoretical, practical and methodological tools to understand, analyze and carry out evaluations of social programs. In the course, a practical approach will predominate, using examples of programs implemented in Peru and other countries that allow identifying the most relevant challenges when conducting an evaluation. The course addresses the entire evaluation process, from the design phase to the processes and impacts of the program.

The goal of the program is to enhance the skills for planning and managing evidence-based monitoring and evaluation systems, aimed at improving the efficiency of social interventions. This program teaches participants how to design and implement monitoring and evaluation systems for social projects, assess processes and outcomes based on evidence, and drive change within their organization by achieving meaningful impact on people's lives.

The program's goal is to equip participants with the knowledge, methodologies, and tools needed to properly formulate projects under the regulations of INVIERTE.PE. The skills acquired will enable participants to work in multidisciplinary teams to analyze and evaluate strategic options, leading to informed decision-making in diverse problem-solving scenarios in both public and private sectors.

The Public Policy and Program Evaluation diploma aims to train professionals and specialists in evaluating projects, programs, and instruments. The program focuses on strengthening the skills necessary to design, implement, and commission evaluations.

Carleton’s accredited Public Policy and Program Evaluation diploma prepares students for roles as evaluators and evaluation managers. The program prepares students to understand the various approaches and traditions of evaluation, methodologies and techniques within each of these, and to think critically about evaluation use and design. Participants will better understand where evaluation fits in the broader contexts of public policy, strategic management and accountability and appreciate how to make more effective use of evaluation.

The program trains students who aspire to become experts in analyzing the impact of the use of technologies on the health of individuals, as well as on the organizations and health systems in which they are used. Interdisciplinary in its perspectives and methods, health technology evaluation raises a wide variety of social, legal, ethical and economic issues. It is intended for people who wish to know how to distinguish, define and appreciate the effectiveness, safety and costs of health technologies while examining the medical, social, legal, ethical and economic issues of the introduction, use and dissemination of technologies and health intervention methods.

This training program has two general objectives: to increase research capacity in the analysis and evaluation of health interventions, and to improve the ability to exchange and transfer knowledge between the research and practice communities.

This program prepares students to obtain the title of Program Evaluator awarded by the Canadian Evaluation Society (CES).

The embedded certificate is designed to increase the capacity of graduate students to participate in and lead community-based research and evaluation projects. Students will gain conceptual, methodological, and experiential competencies in Community-Based Research and Evaluation that can be integrated within a student’s specific program of graduate studies.
