Objective(s): train participants to explain the principles, issues and foundations of the evaluation of public policies; understand the concepts of public policy evaluation; plan an evaluation of public policies; collect data and their analyzes to answer the evaluation questions,
principles and issues; commissioning and managing an evaluation process the principles and issues; and promote the use of evaluation results principles and issues.

Financial and accounting aspects of the program budget (ACFBP)

Objective(s): train participants to explain the technical aspects of budget reform; present the conceptual framework of the new accounting rules introduced by the reform; describe the rules for establishing the financial statements of the States as well as the transition tables from general accounting to budget accounting; and draw up the budget nomenclature in accordance with Directive No. 08 as well as the table of financial operations of the State in accordance with Directive No. 09.

Impact evaluation in the field of agriculture and rural development

Objective(s): provide technical support for the impact evaluations of selected agriculture and rural development projects/programs.

Professional Master's in Economics - Emphasis on Public Policy

CLEAR LAB | National

Objective(s): train professionals who seek to deepen their knowledge of public policies with a solid microeconomic and quantitative foundation for the design, monitoring and evaluation of public policies. The program is the result of a partnership with the Center for Learning in Evaluation and Results for Lusophone Africa and Brazil (CLEAR) at FGV EESP, which belongs to an international network of academic institutions supported by the Global Evaluation Initiative, with a focus on promoting evidence-based public policies.

Evidence Award

CLEAR LAB | National

Objective(s): reward public policies that stand out for their use of scientifically based evidence.

Scope: eligible public policies must be (i) either be in progress or completed in the last 24 months, (ii) implemented in Brazil.

Institute for Mobility and Social Development (IMDS) Trophy

CLEAR LAB | National

Objective(s): reward policies/ programs that promote social mobility and reduce inequality of opportunity through the use of systematized information and application of scientific knowledge.

Scope: eligible public policies/ programs must be (i) either be in progress or completed in the last 24 months, (ii) implemented in Brazil.

M&E residency program - Fundação Getulio Vargas (FGV) udergraduate students

CLEAR LAB | National

Objective(s): provide undergrad students with an opportunity to the first contact with practical M&E activities through practical learning (on-the-job training) and mentoring.

Scope: main activities and responsibilities include
- Supporting data analysis
- Supporting Evaluations;
- Supporting the preparation and facilitation of M&E training courses;
- Participating in M&E studies group;
- Participating in weekly periodic meetings with the FGV EESP CLEAR team;
- Other related activities assigned by the mentor

Research for Impact Fellowship (RFI)

Objective(s): equip young development researchers with the theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary to design and implement randomised evaluations for assessing the effectiveness of social policies and programmes.

Scope:
Stage 1 - course on the theory behind designing and implementing evaluations (proctored exam at the end of stage 1)
Stage 2 - practical training on implementing an evaluation, course on primary data collection covering a range of topics related to measurement and survey tools

Evaluating Social Programmes (ESP) Course

CLEAR SA | Regional

Objective(s): provide a thorough grounding in conducting randomised evaluations for measuring the impact of social programmes and policies.

Scope: the programme covers methods and considerations for the design and implementation of randomised evaluations, and how findings can inform evidence-based policies and programmes.
