This Master’s program is designed to offer professionals and students the opportunity to apply principles of learning, cognition, and motivation to vital problems in the area of education; develop a solid understanding of research, assessment, and evaluation methodologies; and develop an analytical and scholarly approach to critically assessing theoretical perspectives, research, and practice within and across content domains. By participating in a supportive and collegial environment with faculty from numerous educational disciplines and expertise, students develop the skills to meet the needs of diverse populations and design and implement effective educational programs appropriate for a broad range of cultural contexts.

The mission of this program is to train the next generation of global health professionals to design, evaluate, and implement health programs and initiatives. Graduates will contribute to the improved efficacy of health programs around the world. They will use research and evidence to inform decisions and policies that affect diverse populations. In addition, coursework helps professionals to evaluate the best use of investments and resources in underserved communities around the world.

The mission of the programs is to guide students in becoming socially just leaders and change agents in a variety of educational contexts. This program addresses current adult education issues and provides solutions that can be immediately applied in the workplace. Our curriculum is guided by the Academy of Human Resource Development standards to provide you the skills and knowledge for designing, administering and assessing training programs in a variety of instructional formats. The program focuses on developing equitable learning environments. Rather than having a single course focused on social issues, equity is embedded throughout all of the course work offered in this program.

The program trains students to develop, implement, analyze and evaluate federal, state and local educational policies. Students investigate avenues such as charter schools, urban education reform, school finance, teacher quality, accountability, diversity, to name a few. Students who complete the program go on to make an impact in local, state and national educational institutions and agencies. With a strong understanding of pressing educational policy issues, our graduates influence generations of future students.

The program prepares students to identify, evaluate, and design instructional solutions for learning and performance problems. It blends technical and software skills with transferable soft skills in theory, planning, instructional processes, and collaborative problem solving. Students gain the expertise to design, create, implement, and evaluate non-technology and technology-supported instructional solutions for a variety of educational and professional settings.

The proram is grounded in Oregon State University’s commitment to developing tomorrow’s leaders guided by the principle that equity-centered leadership can be learned and enhanced. The Ed.D. degree has a newly updated curriculum designed for students interested in advancing in leadership positions in higher education. The Ed.D. program's purpose is to educate students wanting to apply research to practice and develop practitioner knowledge.

This program offers a global vision of the main tools and methodologies for evaluating public policies and programs.

The overall goal of this program is to train future professionals and specialists in program and policy evaluation, so that by the end of the course they have acquired the knowledge and developed the necessary skills to design, lead, conduct, and commission evaluations, as well as critically analyze them. This is a theoretical and practical program aimed at providing knowledge and skills to meet the evaluation needs and requirements of managerial and technical personnel in public administration, the private sector, and the third sector. It is also designed for consulting professionals and academics who wish to specialize in these areas of study. Graduates of the program will have the skills and knowledge to design, commission, critique, and conduct high-quality evaluations.

This degree only requires the student to have passive knowledge in Spanish (only listening), participation in the classroom and personal work can be done in English, Portuguese or French.

This program equips students with the knowledge, experience, and resourcefulness needed to be a professional evaluator, evaluation researcher, or educator in a variety of settings. In this program, students will hone an interdisciplinary set of skills for designing and implementing effective evaluation strategies. Through advanced research techniques, students will be able to quickly and astutely discern issues in processes and systems, develop incisive solutions to bottlenecks and roadblocks, and manage organizational paradoxes with confidence. Students will gain experience in a full array of quantitative, qualitative, and mixed methods, and will sharpen their skills in designing evaluation studies, data collection, data analysis, and how to effectively communicate results to improve policies and programs. Through new and ongoing organizational partnerships, students will work in real-life evaluation cases and get hands-on experience.
