The M.A. in Research and Evaluation Methods program at Boston College is designed to equip you with the robust background in methodology, research design, and data analysis you’ll need to help meet that demand. This training will allow you the flexibility to work in a variety of research and evaluation fields. With a curriculum that incorporates quantitative and qualitative methods, including courses in evaluation theory and practice, you will develop strong skills in research and evaluation design, data collection and management, data analysis, report writing, and organizational communication.

The mission of the Educational Inquiry, Measurement, and Evaluation (EIME) program is to prepare doctoral students who have the knowledge, expertise, experience, and character traits to work productively as researchers, evaluators, policy analysts, assessment specialists, and/or professors in a variety of settings. The program is designed to provide students with a balance between depth and breadth and between theory and practice in educational research.

The Program Evaluation in Education and Education Related Settings Certificate is designed for individuals interested in acquiring knowledge and skills necessary for evaluating a variety of programs. The certificate program is open to private and public administrators, teachers, trainers, instructors, curriculum experts, counselors, psychologists and instructional designers, as well as those preparing for doctoral programs. This certificate program is practice-based and focuses on academic, community and business (on-the-job training) program assessment and evaluation.
